We know it's important to be able quickly see what's going on in a mining area or district so we've just made it easier for you to do your mining project research.

You've seen the Google Earth based mining and exploration project maps on our site so you know we have the location information for the project - we take the latitude and longitude and add or subtract a half a degree in either direction to create a geographical block around the project. A half a degree gives you about 50km so the block ends up being about 100km by 100km with the reference project in the middle.

Just for you we search our database for projects within that block and if they exist we display up to five of the results within it so you have quick reference to other projects in the area.

For those of you doing the investing out there and think you've found a winner - you might want to have a quick look at the projects around it too. Maybe you can find a good penny stock that will play off of the big boys working the area.
